Capture the wide layout of a public page at 1440×900. Use a custom width when your breakpoints do not sit on that preset.
The default is a review width, not a monitor
1440×900 is wide enough for most marketing grids and short enough that a viewport image still has a fold. It is not a screenshot of a 5K display. Custom sizes can go up to 1920 pixels wide and 4000 pixels tall for a single viewport.
Use it for pages a stranger can open
Design critiques, release notes, and “what does the homepage say today” are the right jobs. A logged-in admin screen is the wrong job. The profile has no cookies and no way for you to add them.
Full page is a separate choice
The desktop preset is one screen. If you need the rest of a long public page, switch to full page. The width stays in the desktop range unless you set another width, and the height follows the document until the cap.
