Legal

Terms

These terms describe the screenshot service as it actually behaves. They are a practical policy for this software, not a substitute for legal advice.

The service

SnapSite opens a public URL in a locked-down browser and returns an image. The image shows one render at one moment. It can miss late content, differ from your browser, and include the target site’s own error page. It is not a legal archive by itself.

Your responsibility

You need the right to request a capture of the page. Do not submit addresses you are not allowed to access. Do not use the service to reach private networks, metadata services, or anything the acceptable use rules forbid. Those requests are blocked, and repeating them can get the client suspended.

Quotas and availability

Daily quotas, batch sizes, and retention can change. The operator can suspend a client. There is no warranty of uninterrupted service. A failed job does not mean the target site is down; read the error code.

Accounts and keys

Accounts store an email and a password hash. A paid plan is a 30-day Bitcoin payment, not a card charge. API keys are credentials. SnapSite does not store a Bitcoin private key.
